Native-ISIS®
Support
ISIS
is a software driver technology designed by Pixel Translations (www.pixtran.com).
ISIS provides a standard interface to document scanners along with a
variety of image processing features.
ISIS has become the “de-facto” standard within the
document imaging industry. As a result, most document scanner
manufacturers provide ISIS drivers with their scanners.
Kofax
Adrenaline® Support
Captovation Scan leverages the power of Kofax's
Adrenaline scanning platform.
Adrenaline is installed as a Microsoft
Windows® driver and is fully configurable through the Windows
Control Panel. This platform provides sophisticated, yet
flexible, support for Kofax accelerator cards and ISIS
environments. (Adrenaline hardware and
software engines sold separately)
Captovation Scan also supports VirtualReScan™
(VRS) technology. VRS technology provides you with advanced
image processing features and automatically checks for adjustment,
contrast, and image clarity at scan time.
Quality
Assurance
Captovation
Scan provides image thumbnail support while reviewing
batches. Thumbnails enable the scan operator to quickly review
the quality of all images within a batch. Furthermore, thumbnails
support drag-and-drop functionality allowing pages to be quickly
reordered. Additionally, scan operators can easily append,
insert, replace and delete pages within a batch.

Captovation
Scan profiles minimize scan operator training and errors by allowing
complex scanner and image processing settings to be pre-configured
based on the documents and applications supported. Scan operators
simply select a profile and begin scanning.

Captovation Scan supports any scanner
that has an available ISIS scanner driver or any scanner supported
by Kofax Adrenaline. Currently, this includes support for over
250 document scanners from manufacturers such as: BÖwe
Bell + Howell, Canon, Fujitsu, Inotec, Kodak, Panasonic, Ricoh,
Visioneer, Xerox, and others.

Captovation
Scan licenses consist of 5 levels, which are determined based on the
scanner manufacturer’s speed rating in images per minute (ipm)
when scanning letter size (8 ½” x 11”) paper at 200 DPI in
landscape mode. To confirm the correct Level for a particular
scanner, please visit the following web page:
Note:
There are some exceptions where the Scanner Level has been decreased
for certain scanner models.
