Captovation Names Fred Persing Eastern Sales Manager

Minneapolis, MN, February 14, 2002 -- Captovation, which develops production-level and Internet-based document capture software for the Enterprise, announced the appointment of Fred Persing as Eastern Sales Manager.  Mr. Persing’s background consists of working in channel sales for companies specializing in electronic document management and also includes hardware selling experience in the high-tech industry.  Fred brings to Captovation over twenty years of computer industry sales experience, including over eleven years of document management/imaging experience.

As Eastern Sales manager, Mr. Persing will be responsible for strengthening Captovation’s existing relationships with their Value-Added Resellers (VARs), and adding VARs in new geographical areas.   This includes presales support and account development.  Additionally, Fred will work to establish strategic alliances and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreements with companies in the Electronic Document Management System and Records Management industries. 

Fred's knowledge of imaging and document management comes from working for such companies as Parascript LLC, Datamax Technologies, and Kofax Image Products.  His nine years with Kofax helped him acquire an in-depth knowledge of document capture.  Fred’s overall responsibilities with these companies included establishing new sales channels and geographic markets as well as new accounts.  Fred is especially knowledgeable of the government sector having established accounts with the State of New York, FBI, Weather Bureau, United States Army, United States Navy, NSA, FDA, and the Department of Labor.
