KODAK’s New i6000 Series Check Scanners compatible with Captovation® Check Capture 5.1 MINNEAPOLIS, August 8, 2006—Captovation, Inc is proud to announce the compatibility of its check imaging software with KODAK i6060 and i6090 Check Scanners recently added to its Check Imaging Solutions portfolio. Combining the i6000 check scanners with Captovation Check Capture Software provides users with an efficient and reliable check processing system producing high-quality images necessary for electronic check exchange (Check 21). Captovation, Inc. is a developer of check capture software for financial institutions, offering a new solution for converting paper checks to high-quality digital images. The Federal Check Clearing Act for the 21st Century or Check 21 has enabled banks, credit unions, financial institutions, and businesses to facilitate electronic check deposit and clearing with check imaging software. By truncating checks at their earliest point of presentment, these institutions benefit from reduced float time, reduced courier costs and decreased fraud risk. "As more customers employ Check 21 solutions, having applications that are quickly connectable and functional within existing systems increases flexibility in choosing the best solution for their needs," said Andy Lawrence, Worldwide Solutions Business Manager, Document Imaging, Graphic Communications Group, Eastman Kodak Company. "Captovation has enlarged the circle of choice available to customers by certifying the compatibility for KODAK i6000 Series Check Scanners with its Check Capture Software." “The Kodak i6000 Series Scanners offer fast, simple and accurate read for each check processed,” says Sara Medin, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for Captovation. “We see a crisp, clear image, and accurate MICR parsing when the checks are scanned using Check Capture 5.1.” Captovation Check Capture 5.1 is soon to be released and will include the following features: CAR/LAR support (optional), an X9.37 file support—Check 21 output standard (optional), the ability to generate a manual cash letter, and a new user interface that should help users easily verify and validate check items. Captovation Check Capture and a Kodak check scanner can be implemented at a starting cost of around $3300. About Captovation, Inc.
