Captovation Announces Direct Integration Support between Captovation Capture and FileBound Content Management System
MINNEAPOLIS, July 10, 2006 – Captovation, a developer of document and check capture software, announces integration support between its Captovation® Capture product, and the FileBound™ enterprise content management (ECM) system developed by the Marex Group. Captovation Capture and FileBound can be implemented as a complete document management system providing users with the ability to capture, index, and archive electronic and paper-based content.
The FileBound content management system can be implemented as either an in-house or ASP (application service provider) system providing a method for organizations to manage paper documents, documents and files stored off-site, digital images, Word documents, PDF's, and E-mails. FileBound’s ASP system, or software-as-service model, provides users with a Web interface to access the FileBound application, which is hosted at the FileBound data center. Organizations utilizing an ASP model will enjoy the benefits of a complete content management system without the expensive up front costs and integration complexity.
System integration is facilitated by a Captovation Capture Commit Driver, developed by Captovation and available at no additional charge. The Commit Driver transfers document images from Captovation Capture and archives them into the FileBound system. All Captovation Capture components: Index, Web Capture, Check Capture, Recognition Server, Import Server, and Commit Server, are capable of performing a document commit (archive) into FileBound.
The integration includes a FileBound Template Manager allowing an administrator to define data field mappings between Captovation Capture and FileBound. If an organization is using the FileBound ASP system, an administrator would specify the URL (Universal Resource Locator) of the FileBound data center. After connecting, the FileBound Template Manager retrieves all available FileBound projects and respective field names. The administrator then correlates field names in FileBound with those in Captovation Capture. Upon commit in Captovation Capture, the images and associated data are uploaded into FileBound.
“We are pleased to provide integration support for the FileBound system,” said Ken Peterka, Captovation’s President and CEO. “I feel that our Captovation Capture system brings added value to an organization’s FileBound system by providing additional document capture functionality for their mission-critical document imaging processes.”
"The Captovation integration will allow FileBound users to achieve a new level of scanning automation." said Mark Creglow, Marex Group's COO. "As demand for FileBound continues to accelerate, more sophisticated levels of input are required. At Marex Group, we believe the Captovation integration not only gives us a solid business partner but provides our users with a great alternative and growth path."
