Captovation Announces Direct Integration Support between Captovation Capture

and Tokairo TokOpen

MINNEAPOLIS, May 25, 2007—Captovation, a developer of document and check capture software, announces integration support between its Captovation® Capture product suite and Tokairo TokOpen.  Captovation Capture and Tokairo's TokOpen offer a complete document management system providing clients with the ability to capture, index and archive electronic and paper-based content.

TokOpen is a modular document management system that manages paper-based and electronic documents. It centrally manages the flow of documents between users and maintains document and user security by controlling who has access to which documents and files.  TokOpen features web-based document access, enterprise report management, and full-text searches for documents, emails, and web pages.

Captovation’s integration for TokOpen is accomplished through a Captovation Capture Commit Driver.  Administrators use the Commit Driver to map Captovation Capture index data fields to the various folders and document fields within TokOpen.  After documents have been indexed and committed within Capture, the commit driver formats the index data and other associated settings before submitting the images to the TokOpen system.  Commit Driver settings also determine which TokOpen drawer and folder the newly committed document images will be placed.

Additional features of this integration include:

  • The commit driver can be configured so that committed documents are stored within existing TokOpen folders or dynamically create folders on-the-fly.

  • Capture index fields can be mapped to as many as thirty TokOpen fields for document and folder indexes and data.

Captovation Capture will provide TokOpen clients with production-level document scanning and indexing components, distributed capture through a web browser, automated bar code recognition, as well as a true Check 21 system for electronic check exchange and presentment.  This system, Captovation Check Capture, captures check images and MICR data and outputs an image cash letter enabling financial institutions to exchange and clear checks electronically.

Champion Workflow Systems Inc. of Pine Brook, New Jersey, a Captovation and Tokairo Value Added Reseller (VAR), is in the process of implementing Captovation Check Capture with TokOpen at a large federal savings bank in New Jersey.  Check Capture is being deployed at 26 branches and within the bank’s mortgage loan payment processing department.  Each location will use Check Capture to image their checks and create image cash letters to send to their clearinghouse.  Additionally, the check images and data will be archived within the bank’s TokOpen system, providing employees with an electronic method to search for and retrieve check images.

“The new TokOpen Commit Driver is yet another example of the responsiveness that typifies the entire Captovation organization,” said Gary Loew, president of Champion Workflow Systems.  “By enabling us to simultaneously create Image Cash Letters for item processing and Proof of Deposit packages for storage in TokOpen, Captovation has allowed us to remain highly competitive in the bank imaging marketplace.  The inherent operational improvements facilitate very significant ROI for our clients.”
