Captovation Announces Its Membership in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program

Minneapolis, MN, January 14, 2005 -- Captovation, a leading provider of production-level document and distributed capture software for electronic content management systems, announced today they have been named as a Microsoft Certified Partner due to their proven competence on the latest Microsoft technologies. Membership in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program will provide Captovation with resources to help it develop and deploy robust Microsoft based technology solutions for document capture.

The Microsoft Certified Partner Program allows Captovation to utilize the Microsoft Certified Partner logo, which is an easy way for customers to recognize Captovation as certified by Microsoft Corp. Microsoft offers a variety of resources to program members, including training, technical support, early access to Microsoft products and peer-networking opportunities that allow a variety of partners to come together and provide end-to-end customer solutions.

Captovation has directly integrated their flagship document capture system, eCapture, with Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for document image archiving and retrieval. eCapture and SharePoint can be integrated to provide users with a complete document management solution, which includes document capture, image/data archiving, as well as search and retrieval capabilities.

Captovation also utilizes Microsoft products for some of their other eCapture components. For example, Captovation’s browser-based document capture component, ecNet, utilizes Internet Explorer in conjunction with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS). For multi-user environments, most eCapture implementations utilize Microsoft SQL Server for database support while stand-a-lone environments typically utilize a Microsoft Access database.
